Infiniti has appointed Tommaso Volpe its new Formula One Global Director, effective September 1, 2014. Volpe will be responsible for Infiniti’s entire activities around its title partnership and vehicle performance partnership with four-time Formula One Champion Infiniti Red Bull Racing.
Daniel Ricciardo took a superb third win of the season at Spa-Francorchamps to take the team’s 50th grand prix win. In doing so he became the first Australian since Jack Brabham in 1960 to win the Belgian Grand Prix.
The Infiniti high-performance prototype super-sedan – the Q50 Eau Rouge – has finally come face to face with Eau Rouge, the signature high-speed corner of the famed Spa-Francorchamps race circuit in Belgium, from which the car takes its name.
Vettel: "The race in Spa started our series of nine victories last year, which I always like to remember. The Belgian circuit offers all possible turns and maneuvers: ultra-fast, medium-speed, heavy braking and fast straights. The height difference is so great that you always have the feeling of riding a roller coaster, especially in Eau Rouge.”

After a grueling world final event in the UK that saw 12 hopefuls from around the world competing for victory in the Infiniti Performance Engineering Academy, it was William Priest from the UK, Eric LaRoche from Hamilton New Jersey, and Jason Zide California who were deemed the winners.
