Infiniti sold a record 103,500 new vehicles around the world in the first half of 2015, up 13 percent over the same period last year. On the back of a best-ever sales performance in 2014, Infiniti delivered another all-time high result and for the first time sold more than 100,000 vehicles in the first six months. The brand also set records in China, Asia & Oceania, and EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa), as well as many key individual markets including Canada, Mexico, South Africa, and Australia.
Infiniti Red Bull Racing driver Daniel Ricciardo has made history by becoming the first of the current Formula One grid to drive the newly redesigned Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez circuit in Mexico City.
Ricciardo: I can't hide it! Silverstone's awesome. I love high-speed circuits with high-speed corners. And so the run from Copse through Maggotts, Becketts, Chapel and then around Stowe – maybe the five coolest corners on the calendar, and to have them coming at you one after the other. Yeah, I love it.
With over 150,000 F1 fans along the streets of Mexico City's historic Zocalo Square, Daniel Ricciardo and Carlos Sainz took to the streets in a pair of RB7s to deliver some burn out action for the crowds.
At this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed (FoS) in the UK, Infiniti debuted a new stand, a new location and customer interest levels exceeding those of even the previous year's successful achievements. Infiniti, currently seeing record sales increases in the UK, welcomed visitors to the "Infiniti Shapes the Future" stand on each of the four days of the FoS.
Ricciardo: “I was pleased with the car during the race. I was trying to push as much as I could towards the end to catch Perez, but the boys behind me were fighting for the podium and I had to respect that."
