Infiniti finished the first half of 2016 with a new sales record. The company sold more than 110,200 vehicles, an increase of 7 percent over the same period last year. In the month of June, more than 19,300 vehicles were sold, up 15 percent versus June 2015, and in the second quarter of the year (April-June), Infiniti set a new record with almost 53,000 vehicles sold representing an increase of 4 percent.
Infiniti today reported sales of 11,058 vehicles in the U.S. during June, an increase of 10.7 percent versus prior year. The QX50 luxury crossover had its best month ever with an increase of 305 percent to 1,689 units.
Infiniti continues its strong momentum, setting a new global sales record in May. The brand sold approximately 18,000 vehicles around the world last month, an increase of 3 percent over May 2015 and representing the best-ever May sales performance in Infiniti’s history. Year-to-date, Infiniti sold about 91,000 vehicles globally, up 5 percent compared to the same period last year, setting another sales record for the company.

Infiniti ended the first quarter of 2016 with exceptionally strong sales numbers. In March the brand achieved an all-time high record by selling more than 24,900 vehicles globally, an increase of 22% over March 2015. This marks the 19th consecutive month with global year-on-year growth. In the first quarter, Infiniti sold more than 57,200 vehicles, which surpasses the first quarter of 2015 by 9%. It is the best ever first quarter in Infiniti's history.
Infiniti today reported sales of 13,775 vehicles in the U.S. during March, an increase of 10.0 percent versus prior year. The new QX50 luxury crossover had its best March ever with an increase of 596.8 percent to 1,512 units. The QX60 7-passenger luxury crossover also saw its most successful March ever with sales of 3,905, an increase of 20.4 percent. In all, Infiniti crossovers and sport utility vehicles were up 37.2 percent over prior year.
Following a record year in 2015, Infiniti carried its momentum into 2016 setting a new sales record for January. The company sold more than 15,600 vehicles around the world, a slight increase of 1 percent over January 2015. This marks the best January result ever for Infiniti globally as well as the 17th consecutive month with year-on-year growth on record.
